About

I penned the first Happy Zach manuscript in 2011 because I wanted to share the hope I found after suffering the heartbreak of losing my father during my childhood. Things turned around when I bought a Pomeranian puppy, and life was never the same. The story I wrote helped me understand better the childhood trauma I’d experienced, and a greater message beyond the pain.

To be honest, writing isn’t easy for me because I’d rather focus on imagery. However, it ends up being a labor of love because I work hard at it. I graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Art, so getting the imagery just right is important to me.

Memories can be painful, but hope is an anchor for the soul (Hebrews 6:19 NIV). Joy can be restored, though we may have to let go of something in exchange for it. There came a time when I sensed God saying to me, “Child, embrace the love, not the grief.
